Prairie View PTO holds fundraisers throughout the year so we can support our teachers, staff and students by offering the following opportunities each school year:

Assemblies - In partnership with the school we organize and fund 1-2 school wide assemblies throughout the year.

Field Trips - We are proud to afford the ability to support field trips for K-5 plus assist with the 5th grade challenger trip.

Fifth Grade Send-Off - With the help of parents we have an end of year celebration to wish our 5th grade students luck as they move on to middle school. PTO supplies snacks, activities, and a best wishes gift.

Kindergarten Welcome - A day for incoming Kindergarteners and their families to meet one another before the start of the school year. PTO organizes and provides snacks.

School Gift - A large gift that can be enjoyed by all who attend Prairie View. Currently working toward updating our playground.

Scholarship - A former Prairie View student who is graduating Central High School is awarded a scholarship to support their continuing education. Amount of scholarship: $1,000. Scholarship criteria are posted at the High School level in the Spring.

PTO Website/Student Directory - PTO builds connections between home and school by communicating through our website. As an added bonus, an online student directory is available on the PTO website to any family who wishes to participate. The student directory allows families to connect with other families. All information including fundraising, PTO initiatives and events are notated on the PTO website.

Student Snacks - PTO provides snacks to students during standardized testing days.

Teacher/Staff Funds - Each faculty member is awarded with $200/person to use towards classroom supplies.

Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week - PTO provides meals and snacks for the teachers and staff to show our appreciation.

Teacher/Staff Gift - PTO presents a large gift to teachers/staff each year. In 2022, Prairie View staff requested a poster maker which was delivered to the school in the Fall.

Teacher/Staff Meals - PTO provides teachers/staff meals during parent/teacher conferences.

Visiting Authors/Illustrators - PTO funds a school wide visit from a children’s Author or Illustrator each year.
